As many of you may know (that have had dealings with AKOR Services) we develop almost exclusively using WordPress web sites.  It is for a variety of reasons.  One of the most important reasons is that our business model is to develop the WordPress web site that our clients want, and then turn it’s operation over to them, after a little training.  We don’t believe in holding our clients hostage after the web site is developed.  Yet, if they desire on-going support, we will certainly do that for them.  The point is that WordPress is an environment that can be maintained and updated by mere mortals, as long as certain precautions are adhered to.

However, having said that, many people do feel that “it’s only a WordPress blog”, and that they can do it for themselves.  Certainly, a bare-bones WordPress site does indeed start out that way, for everybody, but it is where it can go from there that requires planning, thought and care in implementation and maintenance.

I have produced and participated in WordPress web sites that I defy the casual observer to know that it is a WordPress web site.  Those things require skill and knowledge, beyond the scope of the average non-techie.  For those things, it requires talent, skill and abilities, and those things take time and cost money.  Even setting up a bare-bones WordPress site takes a lot of time to be done correctly and securely.

So if you are the typical business person, shouldn’t you be investing your time into your business, its’ operation, and caring for your customers?  That is why we (AKOR Services) provide marketing and technical assistance for our clients.  So that they can focus on the daily operation of their business, and we can assist them with their marketing, web sites and other technical issues.  It is a good mix for the average small-to-medium-sized business that can not afford to hire those skills and talents in-house.

Take a look at the article (link) below and get a different perspective about what you are really getting when you get a WordPress website from AKOR Services.
