I ran across an outstanding resource the other day when I was doing some research for one of my clients. I came across this information while searching for other information, and it came up in my search.

I found  a group called Local Marketing Institute that is dedicated to educating small businesses on how to improve their local marketing.  This is proving to be an outstanding resource that I want to share with my clients and those of you that are not yet my clients.

Specifically, this article, Local Voice Search was quite interesting to me.  I have been convinced for some time now that given our infatuation with mobile devices and the improvements in “voice searches”, they will some day rival and surpass the standard textual searches that we now do on all the search engines.  But specifically, this article goes into great detail about the limited number of voice assistants, and where they obtain all their search information from.  What that really tells us is where we need to go to register our businesses and keep the information updated, so that our business information will remain current and relevant.  For those of you that are do-it-yourselfers, these are the places you need to go to make sure your business is registered properly.

If you would like to increase your understanding of SEO and voice searches, this recording of a 45 minute webinar, along with notes, will be well worth your time.  Give it a try.  And while you are there, sign up with the Local Marketing Institute.

And for full disclosure, I have no affiliation with them other than I am a member, so that I can stay current on new information.  I receive no compensation of any kind from them.  My motivation, as always, is simply to help my clients become better educated in their marketing and current trends.
